Historically, orphanages are primarily associated with poverty and misery in minds of our people. Imagination depicts miserable intimidated orphans who do not know parental affection.
But it turns out, it may happen the other way round. In Donetsk there is preschool orphanage № 1 in the Kuibyshev district. The atmosphere there successfully disproves all the negative associations established in minds of our citizens. Let’s start with the very beginning. As soon as you enter the room, pleasant and comfortable interior catches the eye. All children's bedrooms are unique, painted in different colors, blankets on the bed match the tone of the walls, there are carpets on the floor, big cuddly toys guard children’s sleep. There is a great gym with new modern equipment, dining room, own dental and physiotherapy rooms in the orphanage.
But small inhabitants of the orphanage are those who strike the most. They are very ingenuous, emotional, developed and cheerful kids. And this is the best indicator. You cannot teach children to cheat, to hide their feelings, all the emotions are written on their faces.
It is only logical to assume that workers of the orphanage do a lot, first and foremost - the director Raisa Prilipko. Problems of the orphanage are not just her work, it is her life. She can talk about the success of her students for hours. At the same time non-traditional approach to the children is observed.
According to Raisa Andreevna, it would be impossible to achieve these results without the help of sponsors, as the state finances such places in term of the leftover principle.
On June 1, International Children's Day, the celebration was organized in the orphanage. For our small wards it is actually the most important holiday of the year. The children were visited by those who help them: representatives of local authorities, businesses and private individuals came with their children to celebrate this holiday together. It was obvious, by the reaction of the children that many of the guests came there not for the first time, as the children communicate with some of the guests like with old friends.
Financial and Industrial Corporation DMS brought sweets and toys. In their turn, the kids presented visitors with the concert. They sang songs, showed theatrical performances, recited poems. "We must help children. Let everyone help as they can. After all, no matter how trite it sounds, as well as financial assistance, children need moral support. Often it is difficult for an adult to survive loneliness, let alone children. DMS Corporation has been supporting the orphanage for several years. It is the tradition which our president Andrey Alyosha established. “And believe me the kids never stop surprising us. They are very talented, intelligent, imaginative kids" – said the general deputy director of DMS Corporation Eduard Oksenenko.
