He has been the President of powerful financial-industrial corporations and the head of the Donetsk regional federation of unarmed combat, which is recognized as the best one in Ukraine. Its corporate vehicle fleet is one of the most expensive not only in Donetsk, but also in the country. He has even an APC - for customers of the security agency. He recently turned 33 years old, he received the title of "Leader of Ukraine", "Top Manager in Ukraine", as well as awards of Ukrainian Orthodox Church – Order of Nestor of I degree and "Cross of Honour".
About the fact how regional company with the prospects of entering the national and international markets adapt to new economic conditions and plans to realize their potential, we have talked with President of DMS Andrey Alyosha.
- What activities are now a priority for the Corporation? Before the crisis, your interests were presented in more than 10 areas, such as energy, coal mining, construction...
AA: Yes, DMS Corporation has interests in all policy for the region and country areas. Today, in our structure, there are over 30 companies that produce products extracted raw materials, provide services. In our sphere of influence are such segments of the regional market (with a clear perspective of geographical expansion) as metallurgy, coal mining and minerals, equipment manufacturing, alternative energy, collection and recycling of solid waste, construction manufacturing, outdoor advertising, transportation, financial, security and collection services...
- Collection services - it's interesting.
AA: I agree. And it is interesting for those who develop the business and services for customers. Today we are working with the regional offices of the largest banks of Ukraine. Among our customers one of the oldest and most powerful banks - PIB: we have positive experiences of problem debt in millions of UAH. In this case, we have offered lucrative scheme for the banking institution: bought the debt portfolio. In general, our collection company works with different capabilities depending on the interests of the parties. We also offer services such as legal and physical treatment of assets.
- Speaking about banks. You mentioned PIB. Since it all began...
AA: That's right. But today, the work of this financial institution has stabilized. I can say this with confidence because the corporation is one of the oldest clients of PIB. We have been cooperating and, believe me, right now we do not need and do not have a desire to change this tradition.
- The litmus test of the economic crisis it has become destabilization of the banking system. It is said that after the banks "came to itself" in order to prevent worsening of the crisis were even so-called "black list". They supposedly got unreliable clients who could "pack" non-cash funds and go on vacation for an indefinite period.
AA: I also heard of such lists. Some of our "well-wishers" even tried to convince the public that DMS is included in the list (laughs). However, I can assure you that we will work for a long time in Donetsk, Ukraine Donbass and will stay safe and welcome client for any bank. The best proof of our reliability and prospects, but for 10 years of experience in leading industries, is 6 investment projects which are planned in the near future. We have much to offer both domestic and foreign partners who seek to increase their profit and nonprofit assets.
- Where are you going to raise funds and to what extent?
AA: The total amount of funds that should be involved for the implementation of investment projects at the 1s ist stage more than 100 mln USD. They are distributed between metallurgy, wind power, alternative fuels, coal mining, collection and processing, outdoor advertising. Today we are ready to discuss proposals for the implementation of metallurgical and advertising investment packages, the rest is being finalized. In addition, we plan to take part in a number of tenders for the placement of large (municipal and state) orders. In particular, we are talking about foreign customers the construction of transport infrastructure.
- And you can do more, can't you?
AA: If we win the tender, I'll tell you all details (smiles).
- I understand that the details of investment projects also cannot be shared.
AA: We do not sell ice cream or vodka, so do not need a total advertising of our offers. We have prepared an exclusive for the region, and in some areas of Ukraine and projects that will be provided to potential investors individually. We are ready to discuss anything about fruitful cooperation and will waste no time for this.
- Tell me, please, in the completion of housing, which was to get into the program of state support, you do not plan to invest their own money, right?
AA: Our objects really got into this program. Everything. However, as you know, the funding has not yet provided. So we have a choice: either to wait or to finish building of affordable housing, which is waited in Donetsk. Our homes are precisely of the category of social housing. I think we will choose the second option. At least now it worked. On completion of the 3 objects, we need a bit more than thirty mln UAH.
Incidentally, sources of funding in any case will not affect the quality of the houses. Even if we finish building with own expense.
- Your statements radiate optimism. Thus, does DMS overcome the crisis?
AA: I can say that we have overcome the first and most powerful emotions. Our team mobilized and reproduced the light adequately to the situation and needs of the new ideas. Now we are cool and rational. I do not get tired to thank all the employees of the Corporation for their support and faith in our common efforts. We feel that we have reached a new stage of development - a more pragmatic step without some illusions in which prevails a sober assessment of their own forces and capabilities.
- What are your goals for the near and distant prospects?
AA: Today our "minimum goal" is to keep conquering by companies of market segments. And, of course, bring the gold medal from the World Cup in unarmed combat, which will be held in the Netherlands in October.
"The maximum" is investment projects we have worked on in recent years. Provided there event will bring not only profit but also social benefits to both participants and the local community in the cities where they will be implemented.
