Ukraine was represented by athletes from Dnepropetrovsk, Sevastopol, Lugansk, Dneprodzerzhinsk, Donetsk, Slaviansk, Kramatorsk, Druzhkovka, Krasnoarmeisk, Torez, Makeevka, Yasinovataya, Mariupol, vil. Marjianovka Donetsk region, also competition was attended by representatives of Latvia, Moldova and Cyprus.
More than 300 athletes aged 10 to 17 years old competed for medals in the lightweight versions and dosed contact. Besides the traditional "gold", one of the winners got special prize from Andrey Shishatskiy. Laptop was presented to the best sportsman of the tournament and it got Pavel Kutjin, pupil of free section of hand-to-hand fighting based in school № 43 of Donetsk. To prove his superiority, for our countryman 25 and 32 seconds were enough.
At the age of 10-11 years and 12-13 in light contact version the best became students of Elena Sergunina and Vladimir Yurchenko from Makeevka, Danil Belonozhko and Vladislav Strelchuk.
In version dosed contact won the following athletes: 10-11 years - Alexander Kalashnikov, Kramatorsk coach Maxim Tenditny; 12-13 years - Nikita Tymoshenko, Donetsk coach Andrei Tarasenko; 14-15 years - Paul Kutjin, Donetsk, coach Viktor Kretov; 16-17 years - Vyacheslav Kuznetsov, Donetsk coach Stanislav Matjuhin.
Special prize of the Corporation DMS for the best coach, which was one of sponsors of the tournament was given to legendary Oleg Sydorchuk (Latvia). Today he heads Hand-to-hand Fignting Federation of Latvia and in the Soviet Union he became a three-time champion of Soviet Army in karate and even starred in the cult film " Fan".
Once again pupils of free sections on the basis of secondary schools proved their seriousness in hand-to-hand. The best in their age category this time were Nikita Tymoshenko (school number 106, Petrovskiy district of Donetsk) and Paval Kutyin (school № 43, Kievskiy district, Donetsk).
"Donetsk region for the first time adopted a fighting competition of such level, and we grateful to all the organizers for that in a relatively short period of time they were able to adequately prepare for it"- shared his impressions deputy of Donetsk City Council and President Andrew DHtHFF Andrey Alyosha.
