Ukrainian Freight Locomotive Company LLC (UFLC) has confirmed its authorization to perform maintenance, routine repairs, and major overhauls on virtually all series of mainline and shunting diesel locomotives.
During September–October 2025, ULC underwent a conformity assessment and certification procedure for the right to perform maintenance, routine, and major repairs on virtually all series of mainline and shunting diesel locomotives, as well as specialized railway equipment (railcars, draisines).
The assessment was conducted by the specialized organization “Certification Expert Center for Automated Control Systems” (hereinafter referred to as “Cert ASU”), Kharkiv.
To ensure the procedure was carried out correctly and for subsequent certification by UVLK specialists
- the company’s technical specifications, which regulate the processes of maintenance and repair of diesel locomotives and specialized railway transport equipment, as well as other regulatory, technical, and procedural documentation, were drafted and approved;
- a quality management system (QMS) and a system for monitoring the implementation of the Customer’s technological processes for the repair and maintenance of railway locomotives and rolling stock were developed;
- a certification dossier was prepared in accordance with the requirements of national legislation and submitted to the certification center for review.
As a result of the assessment of technical capabilities and production capacities, as well as the review and verification of documents submitted to the certification center, UVLK received accreditation and certification for the right to perform maintenance, routine repairs, and major overhauls on virtually all series of mainline and shunting diesel locomotives and specialized railway equipment (railcars, draisines).
This is confirmed by Certificates of Conformity No. UA.PN.188.2594-25 dated October 22, 2025, for the right to perform maintenance and routine repairs, and No. UA.PN.188.2595-25 dated October 22, 2025, for the right to perform major repairs.
During the certification process, specialists from the certification body “Sert ASU” highly praised the professionalism of the staff, the technical capabilities, and the work performed by UVLK, welcoming a serious player in the market for services related to railway rolling stock.
